Recently Morrisons were thrilled to watch Sales Professional Alex Ferrando reach an incredible career milestone, selling 5,000 vehicles.

It’s been almost forty years since Alex Ferrando sold his first car – and four and a half years since he joined the team at Morrisons. The lucky 5,000th customer was David Hunter, who has purchased two vehicles from Alex at Morrisons. Although David loves the quality of Mercedes-Benz cars he enjoys dealing with Alex as he has a great sense of humour and finds him engaging and easy to deal with.

What’s Alex’s secret to such a successful career? “Simple - do what you love, and love what you do! I don’t see this as a job, I see it as a hobby. The two things I love about it: the cars and the people,” said Alex Ferrando.

A resident of Sydney’s Northern Beaches, Alex Ferrando moved to Australia from Chile in 1970. Alex has been selling cars since 1972, with most of his career focused on the luxury market. His eye for quality and appreciation of excellent customer service made him an ideal addition to the Morrisons team when he joined in 2007.

It’s a fantastic achievement for Alex to have consistently sold over 100 cars per year for 39 years, many of them luxury models and through all kinds of economic climates. It shows a level of dedication and conscientiousness which is rare to find in an employee.”
