The Morrisons star is shining brighter than ever before with the team celebrating their 40th anniversary this year in Chatswood, the heart of Sydney’s North Shore.
Sanny Morrison opened Morrison Motors Pty Ltd in April 1970, with a team of eight. Now the business, which is still family owned & operated, has grown significantly but is still proud of it’s humble beginnings.
Mr Sanny Morrison remembers, “On our first day, the receptionist I had hired decided to quit and walk out the door! I don’t think she thought this business would last or that I would be able to pay her, but it did and look at us now!”
“My wife Margaret saved the day, juggling the phone with our young daughter, only 2 months old at the time in her arms. It was truly a family business when we started, and now with my son Alex the Managing Director, it still is.”

The Morrisons family and staff are still every bit as passionate about Mercedes-Benz as they were the first day the business opened. The showroom was just big enough to fit three cars on display and there was six bays available for servicing.
Although the business operates on the same site on the Pacific Highway, the facilities are much different. Completed in 2005, the current complex is designed in the Mercedes-Benz German Autohaus style and brings together Sales, Service, Parts & Administration under one roof. There is now enough room to display over 30 new and pre-owned vehicles and to service and maintain more than 30 cars per day using thirteen bays in the workshop.
After selling and servicing Mercedes-Benz vehicles for 40 years, the staff at Morrisons have a rich knowledge bank to draw on, reinforced by combined factory-trained experience of well over a century.
The results, speak for themselves with Morrisons having been twice awarded Mercedes-Benz Dealer of the Year. It’s clear that the best references come from happy and loyal customers, who are the reason for Morrisons’ success.
